There is also a popular pet store and even an 18 hole golf course with club house and restaurant at Ormonde Fields Golf Club.
Codnor also has Infant and Junior Schools. The closest secondary school is Mill Hill in Ripley.
Codnor Castle is a local historical attraction and is located roughly a mile away to the east. The castle is now in ruins but dates back to the 12th century.
